What is Thrive Men's Ministry?
Exists to equip the men of Grace Life Church to lead by faith and to lead with honor in all aspects of their lives, including in their families, communities, workplaces, and all other areas of responsibility and/or influence. We encourage men to accept their God-given responsibility to be spiritual leaders; therefore, we believe men should be the first to pray, the first to serve, the first to lead, and the first to give!
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV) “
[Growing in grace] they will still thrive and bear fruit and prosper in old age; They will flourish and be vital and fresh [rich in trust and love and contentment]; [They are living memorials] to declare that the Lord is upright and faithful [to His promises].”
Psalm 92:14-15 (AMP)
WHY Should I join Fight Club?
Men are seeking and are designed by God for a life of purpose and victory. But men face many unique challenges and obstacles in life that can steal their strength and encouragement, limit their leadership potential, and disrupt the destiny God has for their family.
The Bible tells us in Proverbs 18:1 that "a man who isolates himself seeks his own desires and he rages against all wise judgement." It also tells us in Proverbs 27:17 "as iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend." A man who joins Fight Club enters a circle of men who are placing high expectations on themselves and others, who don't seek our own desires and that come together to sharpen each other.
WHO is Fight Club for?
Men from 16-99 looking to grow deeper in their relationship with God, and live the life of faith, that is worth fighting for. Fight Club members agree to commit to the Fight Club Creed. Fight Club Members seek to be stronger men through honest accountability and care for other men, personal training and development through biblical study and prayer and mentorship, and serving others and their church.
WHEN does Fight Club happen?
Fight Club events happen approximately once per quarter and are available for everyone to attend. Fight Club Members recognize the importance of consistency and relationships in their life, and so commit to attending these events, along with studying daily biblical exercises, regularly attending Life Groups and serving opportunities.
“Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing , but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25)
So let’s get together and Fight! Fight For....
